HOT YOGA (will be back in June!)
This is a hot yoga class with a twist, based on the sequenced 26 poses used in the traditional Bikram method. The heat is turned up to help students with flexibility and detoxification. Flow between poses gives this practice cardio benefits and provides the body with rhythm and breath. There will be strong emphasis on balance, spinal health and core strength, all great devices for the skiers and riders out there! This class will keep you strong, limber and detoxified for all of your outdoor activities and keep your mind balanced day-to-day.
Unnata, meaning “elevated body or spirit”, uses a soft fabric hammock that supports up to 1000 pounds to suspend practitioners while they perform yoga poses. Just like the intent behind traditional hatha yoga, Unnata aerial yoga looks to release chronically tight muscles in order to obtain better posture alignment and benefits the energy body as well as the physical body. The hammock hangs close to the floor so that the student can use the hammock as a prop to either partially or fully support the weight of the body. Pressure on spinal discs and other joints are relieved through relaxation and purposeful slow breathing, as gravity pulls various parts of the body towards the floor, encouraging deep muscles layers to release and spinal structure to realign. The hammock is designed to help the student better understand traditional yoga postures and to help students achieve advanced traditional Yoga Postures.
YOGALATES

PRENATAL YOGA

Connect with your baby, your self, and an amazing community of moms. Open your heart and prepare your body and mind for pregnancy, childbirth, and motherhood. Prenatal yoga helps develop confidence, trust, and a positive attitude. Postures will explore the balance between effort and surrender, stability and softness. Practicing yoga will help you release expectations, find peace and stillness, and listen to your intelligence and intuition to know what is best for you and your baby. Classes are offered in a calm and nurturing environment. All levels encouraged, no experience necessary.
For babies (newborn to crawling) and for moms (cleared for exercise, around 3-6 weeks after birth). This class deepens the bond between mom and baby, promotes physical and emotional recovery, and connects you with a community of moms. It is well integrated for both mom and baby, by including movements, postures, and breathing specifically tailored for new moms, movements for babies and moms, and baby massage. Special attention is placed on developing strength and stability, with a particular emphasis on strengthening the back, abdomen, and pelvic floor, as well as relieving tension in areas such as the neck, shoulders, and back. Mom & Baby Yoga will help reduce anxiety and stress while promoting health, happiness, and relaxation. Baby massage and baby yoga movements improve circulation, strengthen immunity, enhance neurological development, and stimulate digestion, providing relief of gas and colic. Throughout the class, you will have the opportunity to involve your baby in the movements, to hold them, or to have your baby close to you on their blanket. Moms are encouraged to take care of themselves and their babies throughout class ~ feeding, soothing your baby, resting, and having a snack during class are all welcomed. There is absolutely no pressure or expectation for your baby to “behave” in a certain way. Part of the yoga practice is truly welcoming the babies just as they are, learning to cultivate acceptance, instead of tension and worry. Everyone is encouraged to move at their own pace. No previous yoga experience needed. Bring your baby’s favorite blanket and toy to help create a comfortable environment for them.
